Privacy Policy

Roadster Dash is a free browser game operated by Taejoo Um (morpii), Republic of Korea. This policy explains the information used to run the game and its rankings.
1. Who is responsible
Operator and privacy contact: Taejoo Um (morpii). Send privacy questions, access, correction, objection or deletion requests to taejooum@gmail.com. Provider details are available in the legal notice.
2. Information used and why
- Player and rankings: an automatically created player ID, authentication session, nickname and four-digit tag; run ID and random seed; score, distance, play duration, maximum combo and timestamps. Supabase stores these to restore your player, submit scores, show global/regional rankings and limit invalid submissions. We do not request your real name, email or password to play.
- Approximate region: country and state/province/region code and name derived from the connection by Cloudflare. This selects regional rankings and supplies coarse visitor statistics. The game does not request GPS access or store city, street address or coordinates.
- Visitor statistics: page arrival/departure, page path without query parameters, timestamps, temporary session/page identifiers, visit duration and country/region. PostHog uses the network IP and browser user agent transiently to create a daily hash in its cookieless mode; raw IP and user agent are stripped during that processing. We do not send your leaderboard ID, nickname, score, button clicks, form text or gameplay inputs to analytics.
- Requests to support: your email address, message and any information you choose to include, used to respond and resolve your request. Please do not send passwords, authentication tokens or unnecessary sensitive information.
- Technical delivery: hosting, database and font providers necessarily receive network information such as IP address, request time and browser headers to deliver and protect their services. These operational logs are separate from our visitor-statistics fields.
Processing serves the delivery of the game and rankings you use, responding to requests, and our legitimate interests in basic audience measurement, reliability and abuse prevention, where those grounds apply. Where local law requires a different basis or restricts processing, those requirements prevail.
3. What other players can see
Global and regional leaderboards publicly show a nickname, tag, score, distance, ranking and record date. Regional inclusion can reveal the approximate region associated with a run. Do not put your real name or contact details in your nickname. Changing your nickname also changes the name displayed on your existing rankings. Authentication credentials, support emails and internal player IDs are not published as leaderboard fields.
4. Browser storage and your choices
The game stores language, sound/graphics preferences and player-session information in your browser. Builds without an online leaderboard connection use local player details and store up to 200 run records on that device. This storage remains until you clear site data or your browser removes it. Clearing it may lose access to your anonymous player and does not delete server-side scores.
PostHog analytics stores no analytics cookies or persistent analytics identifiers in local/session storage. Analytics is skipped when your browser sends Do Not Track = 1; content blockers may also prevent it. No session recordings, heatmaps, person profiles or advertising targeting are enabled. The site does not display a consent popup.
5. Service providers and international processing
| Provider | Purpose & data | Processing location / information |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Website delivery, security and country/region lookup; connection and request metadata. | Global network. Privacy policy |
| Supabase | Anonymous player authentication, profiles, runs and leaderboard records. | The game's database region is Mumbai, India. Provider support and subprocessors may process data elsewhere. Privacy policy |
| PostHog Cloud US | Cookieless audience, duration and coarse-region statistics described above. | United States. Privacy policy · Event retention |
| Google Fonts / Gmail | Font delivery on the game page; email correspondence when you contact support. | Google's global infrastructure, including the United States. Privacy policy |
Data is transmitted over the internet when you access the game, submit a record or send a message. Providers process information for the purposes above under their applicable terms and safeguards. Data-protection rules outside your country may differ. We do not sell player data or share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if legally required or necessary to address abuse and protect legal rights.
Ko-fi, the creator's portfolio and Tesla links are external links. Their own privacy and payment policies apply after you open them. We do not embed a Ko-fi payment widget or collect payment-card details in the game.
6. Retention and deletion
- Rankings: profiles, runs and scores are kept while the ranking service operates, until a verified deletion request or removal for abuse. There is currently no automatic age-based expiry for those records.
- Traffic statistics: PostHog's event-retention policy applies: currently one year on a free plan and seven years on paid plans. These are provider retention windows, not a promise of automatic deletion on a particular date. No shorter automatic expiry is configured by this game. Daily cookieless hashes cannot be linked back to your player profile by us.
- Support: correspondence is kept while needed to resolve the request and related disputes, then deleted. Records required by applicable law are kept only as required, separately where appropriate.
When information is no longer needed, we delete electronic records or irreversibly anonymize them. Provider backups and operational logs follow the provider's deletion/retention process rather than disappearing immediately from every backup.
7. Access, correction and removal
Email taejooum@gmail.com to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object, where applicable. For ranking requests, include your nickname, four-digit tag and approximate play date, and keep access to the browser used to play. We may need proportionate ownership verification before modifying a player. Never email a session token. A nickname alone is not proof of ownership.
You can change your nickname directly from the menu. Browser site-data controls remove local storage only. Cookieless statistics may not be attributable to an individual, which can limit retrieval or removal of a particular visitor's historical events. You may also raise a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
8. Children and security
The game is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If a child has submitted information, a parent or guardian can contact us to request removal. Users who need a guardian's permission under local law should obtain it before using online features or external support services.
We use HTTPS, access controls and server-side validation for leaderboard writes. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Report a suspected issue privately to our contact email.
9. Changes
We update the date above when this policy changes. Material changes to collection, providers or purposes will be explained on the site before they apply, and any legally required notices or choices will be provided.
